Maps of Greece and the Mediterranean inside front and rear pastedowns. Originally published in Penguin in 1955-57. Quarter leather over illustrated Boards. Gilt titles to spine. Titles in gold to spine, dark orange slipcase. The slipcase shows the (usual) slight rubbing at corners, and some thumbprint /scuff marks to the rear covers, as well as a scratchmark.
Internally, as new, unmarked, no damage, clean, corners sharp. Externally the dark orange ( umber? sienna? ) slipcase with gilt titles to front is dustmarked, but is solid, with no splits etc. Moderate but noticeable external scuffs to slipcase box corners. The corners of both volumes internally show rubbing and wear- one has a closed corner split (see photo) two pages are creased from having been turned down (Grr..)
Thus, at a lower price than normally for this handsome set.
