An undated paperback edition, published by Anvil Press probable early to mid 1960's (pre-decimal price of 3/6) . First published in 1945/46 ( the date is unclear ) by The Kerryman Newspaper/ Anvil Press ( the newspaper was the publisher of a number of key Irish history titles in the years from 1945 to 1980 .
NO inscriptions, binding tight, an angled crease to the back cover corner is the sole flaw.
Possibly the most sought after of the Anvil Press editions, striking four colour covers, image of Treacy based on a Sean Keating portrait.
224 pages , illustrated throughout in black and white - the picture quality is more akin to a newspaper reproduction , but includes images not found elsewhere.
Heavy tanning to pages, as usual with this edition, but one of the best preserved copies of this edition I've seen ( Tomás - charliebyrne.info)
