An uncommon book, this is the first edition, first printing of the ( standalone) Volume II in Charles Smith's history of Cork, 1750.
Printed Dublin , 1750 by A.Reilly sold by J Exshaw Bookseller, Cork-Hill ( which was across from Dublin Castle and was a common location for printers - in Dublin city not Cork despite the name)

IV. The Natural History of the same. The whole Illustrated by Remarks on the Baronies, Parishes, Towns, Villages, Seats, Mountains, Rivers, Medicinal Waters....
( this section also has folded out illustrations of notable archaeolgical finds and monuments in Cork)
(covers the natural history of the county, as well as industries in the towns, and a potted biography list of notable Cork people ( there were, as now , many of them)
The inside front pastedown contains the armorial bookplate of the Marquess of Headfort ( County Meath - this was created only after the act of Union in 1800 so is later than the book's publication)
No inscriptions , a printed (fawning) dedication by the author to Henry Boyle of Castlemartyr, Cork. (Boyle was then speaker of the (Irish) House of Parliament)
429 pages, with index, wear to the upper edge of the spine, small crack / split to rear binding by spine (but holding)
(note the older long S is used throughout ( i.e laft for the word last ), this ceased from around 1800 onwards)
