Internally very good, dustdarkening to the upper edges of the page block ,and some fade to edges, otherwise very good.
Archibald Thorburn is one of the 20th century's greatest wildlife painters. Wherever possible, he drew from life and his obvious affection for birds and animals shines. In addition to the many full-page colour plates, the text is complemented by Thorburn's own pen-and ink-drawings.
